Dejan Kulusevski has delivered his verdict on Tottenham Hotspur’s first training session in Japan.

The North Londoners have had a fine pre-season so far. They have won every single game they’ve played until now and have looked really good.

Ange Postecoglou had a decent debut season in the Premier League, but it was evident that he wasn’t happy with how Spurs finished the 2023/24 campaign.

The Australian will be demanding a much better season, and all the signs so far are really positive, even though training sessions in Japan haven’t been easy.

Dejan Kulusevski delivers verdict on Tottenham’s training in Japan

Tottenham have flown over to Japan for their pre-season tour.

Spurs are scheduled to face Vissel Kobe in Tokyo on Saturday before going to South Korea to take on a K-League XI in Seoul.

Postecoglou has already held a couple of training sessions in Japan, and Tottenham’s players were made to work really hard there.

Kulusevski has now had his say on what he felt in his first session of the pre-season tour.

The Swede revealed that the temperature in Japan has been so hot that it feels like training inside a Sauna.

He further claimed that it was ‘worse than anything’ he or his teammates had ever experienced before.

Speaking to Tottenham’s official website, Kulusevski claimed: “Yes, the first two minutes of yesterday’s first training session was worse than anything we’ve done, just because the heat was crazy.

“It was like training in a sauna.”

Kulusevski’s name has been in the news a lot in recent weeks.

The Sweden international is one of Spurs’ key players and nobody really expected his future to be in doubt ahead of the 2024/25 season.

However, reports have claimed that new Napoli boss Antonio Conte is keen to sign Kulusevski. Fellow Premier League side Aston Villa have also made an enquiry to sign Kulusevski.

Tottenham, however, have now received one boost regarding the reported interest in their Swedish attacker – CalcioNapoli24 have confirmed that Conte doesn’t want to sign Kulusevski this summer.

Unless something drastic happens in the coming weeks, we expect Kulusevski to stay at Tottenham.
