Tottenham Hotspur are still awaiting their second permanent signing of the summer after landing Archie Gray.

Ange Postecoglou is still waiting on some attacking reinforcements to be handed to him by Daniel Levy this summer.

The Australian has seen Timo Werner brought back to north London for the upcoming season but he is a player which many fans will not consider a new signing.

Postectoglou has already spoken publicly about his desire to see his frontline strengthened but is yet to really see those comments acted on.

“We’re obviously in Europe next year as well, so there’ll be more games. So it’s definitely an area of the park we’ll need to strengthen,” Postecoglou told the media back in May.

His wish may finally have taken a big step closer with one of Europe’s most well-known forwards potentially heading for N17.

Tottenham set to add another talent from Serie A

Over recent years, Spurs have targeted Serie A as a market which they could really upgrade their side from.

Having Fabio Paratici at the club certainly helped the Lilywhites in the Italian market with players like Cristian Romero, Rodrigo Bentancur and Destiny Udogie arriving from Italy; to name just a few.

Even more recently, Tottenham have found their new number one in Guglielmo Vicario in what was one of the best pieces of business done last summer by any Premier League side.

And it is a market which Spurs are seemingly still looking to raid with a former teammate of Dejan Kulusevski potentially set to join Tottenham.

According to SportMediaSet, Juventus winger Federico Chiesa is now set to move to London to join Tottenham.

The Italy international is said to be ready to reject the likes of Napoli and Roma to make the move to the Premier League.

“Chiesa will say goodbye to Italy, he won’t go to Roma or Napoli but to the Premier League. He is close to Tottenham for €30-35m (£25-29.5m),” said the presenter.

Tottenham look set to land Italian ‘superstar’

This is a player who Kulusevski will know well from his time in Turin with Chiesa having racked up 131 appearances for Juve.

Following the arrival of Thiago Motta, it is believed Chiesa could now be on the move with just one-year remaining on his deal.

Spurs have reportedly offered Chiesa a £96k-per-week contract to make the move to N17.

Chiesa has been hailed as a ‘superstar‘ and his potential arrival at Spurs could spell bad news for the likes of Kulusevski when it comes to opportunities under the Australian.

Tottenham fans have been made to wait for their next signing, but the wait would surely be worth it if they can get Chiesa in this summer.
